Milady 3.04

This new version behaves better at tactical and positional tests suites (BT2630, CC2175, Positional Tony, Positional Ed). It beats my Mephisto MMII very easily. No idea if it performs better in real tests.
Requires Framework 4 to work

Version 2.95 available

Hi! Look in the download section. This version requires Framework 4 to work. The changes are : move ordering in Quiescence, cutting in Quiescence in some cases, and cleaning in the procedures (especially no array definition in the move generators, now the arrays are passed byval, as it is possible to change a value inside the subroutine). There is also something modified in the King's security routine; a bonus when the pawn chains are destroyed. The Nodes per seconds are thus largely increased! The programme made 2172 elo at BT2450 and 2319 at CC2175. Is it stronger than before? I don't know, please test it and let me know if you find bugs ;)

Milady 2.72

Please don't use the 2.71 which is not so strong. The 2.72 seems not so bad (it is for me the 2.72d).
Compared to 2.71, this version has an improved move ordering (hanging pieces are placed in the first places in the list), and the nullmove conditions are modified (Eval is no more compared to beta, when the nullmove score is not greater than beta the move is considered tactical). I really hope it is stronger than the previous versions (it made 7.5/11 in the 16th Chesswar promotion, with some luck, so that I am very proud :-) )

Milady 2.71 available

It consists in : the 2.40 version with a Null-Move supposed to work (but not sure to be efficient in all the situations, i.e. zugzwang), and also a lot of special endings which are very useful (Bad bishop,. bishop+pawn,...). Seems to give some elo points, I would say 100 elo. My testing methodology is to play tournaments against different opponents of approximately the same level, including also the previous version of Milady.

Links to 2.22, 2.30, 2.40 updated

I am working since several monthes on new versions. Today they seem much weaker than the 2.40. So that I have updated the download links to 2.22, 2.30, 2.40 versions, thanks to Norbert to reported the broken ones.
Enjoy !

A new version of Milady (2.40)

Now there are some extensions if the line is tactical before entering in the Quiescent search. Seems to help a lot. The NullMove heuristic seems not to work.
