- I remember when I was 20, the first Mephisto was all my dreams. I spent all my money in this small computer. Then I played night and days against it. 27 years later, the poor Mephisto is dead (the keys were no more responding and LCD became black screen). But now I decided to run a small collection. First of all, it will be a nice way to test Milady, at least to have a reference Elo. But I love the idea of having these machines; I would like to have at least one machine per programmer. The most famous names are like stars in the sky (Ron Nelson, Ulf Rathsman, Dave Kittinger, Frans Morsch, David Levy, Dan and Kate Spracklen,...). My preferred are the wooden boards. I prefer the vintage computers even if they are weaker.
- So on this page you will have soon a view of all my computers. Don't miss this detailed page with their characteristics, my thoughts about a particular model, my rating compared to the Elo Wiki list, some photos...
- My wife would probably not accept a huge collection, but what is a reasonable number ;) ?

As you may see in the Tournament section, some gauntlets between machines are in progres. I am doing 20 games between machines. I do not always understand the results. So far, Milady 3.25 afer 18 games reaches a score of 2522 against Expert Travel Chess (which is unbelievable and which I do not believe). So why? Does it means that there exists some pet peeves, for a given machine?
